富营养化水体会导致藻类爆发性生长,形成水华或赤潮。水华和赤潮能耗尽水体中溶解氧,使水生动物窒息而死,给水产养殖带来损失。很多藻类能产生藻毒素,会使各种动物中毒或通过食物链传递,威胁人类的健康。因此如何有效控制有害藻类一直是人们关注的领域。目前湖内藻类控制技术主要有物理法、化学法和微生物抑藻、动物捕食法等。但这些方法都在不同程度上存在费用高,产生生态危害,不易控制等缺点,因而限制丁它们的推广。
