Shanghai Expo organizers yesterday held an Expo forum for students across the country as a part of their campaign to promote Expo among young people.

More than 500 students from 70 high schools from around the country attended.

Huang Yaocheng, the counselor for national participation with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Wu Zhiqiang, the chief planner for Expo 2010 Shanghai, talked to the students.

Huang said the Shanghai Expo was expected to boost the Yangtze Delta Region economy and enhance communication among provinces. Wu said the Shanghai Expo would be an exhibition of the world's future.
