The Expo service hall will be put into use next month to offer improved
all-round services to various participants, the organizers said at a mobilizing
meeting today.
Shanghai Executive Vice Mayor, Yang Xiong, member of the Organizing Committee
of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, executive deputy director of the Executive
Committee of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, Zhong Yanqun, deputy director of the
World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, Hong Hao, director of the Bureau
of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Huang Jianzhi, deputy director general
of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination attended today’s meeting.
Yang said a successful expo depends on the participants’joint efforts while
high-level participation is one of the most significant measures of success.
The service hall was finished in November last year. Four counseling
counters, 36 reception windows, 56 offices, a print center, cashiers and meeting
rooms are included.
The hall is also equipped with ATMs and devices for wireless network.
Participants can go through a series of approval procedures at the one-stop
hall.
Functional departments of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination,
municipal committees or bureaus, central governmental bodies in Shanghai and
basic service suppliers on communications will set up shop in the
hall.
