Zhou Hanmin (right), deputy director general of the
Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, meets Jafa Benarie, deputy
commissioner general of the Israel Pavilion for Shanghai Expo.
Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo
Coordination, today met Jafa Benarie, deputy commissioner general of the Israel
Pavilion for Shanghai Expo.
Zhou thanked Israel for its firm confirmation. Zhou said that 202 countries
and international organizations have confirmed participation at the event.
Organizers pay great attention to security, sanity and food safety problems and
hope to cooperate with participants to ensure a "successful, splendid and
unforgettable" Expo.
Israel submitted confirmation for the size and location of its pavilion.
Benarie said Israel is honored to be a part of the event. The country will issue
final bids to the public in May and the design and content of the Israeli
pavilion will be decided before November.
Benarie said the country will showcase their cooperation and friendship with
China and the efforts the two countries are doing to make the world a better
place to live.
