Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province will team up with the Bureau of
Shanghai World Expo Coordination in supporting the 2010 event and providing
services in several areas after the city government signed an overall
cooperation deal with the bureau yesterday.
Yangzhou will develop into a service base for Shanghai Expo in such areas as
tourism, culture, transportation, exhibition and logistics and develop tourism
products featuring Expo 2010, according to the deal.
The bureau and the government will also make full use of their own Web
portals to enhance information exchange in an effort to enlarge cooperation, the
deal said.
Yangzhou has confirmed its tourism slogan and sign, which contains the
patterns of the Five-pavilion Bridge, willow and ancient wall.
The sign embodies the history and culture of Yangzhou.
Yangzhou, located in the central part of Jiangsu, is famous for gardens and
pavilions.
